Developing as a leader takes time, commitment, and certain foundational values and attitudes.

Leaders come and go.  But leaders that sustain the test of time and have the greatest long-term positive impact on the world share some significant common values.  The ALLC strongly promotes 5 key values for all Godly leaders.  They are:

Learning:

We believe that life is intended to be a journey of never-ending learning and growth, with the goal of becoming more and more like Jesus every day.   And we believe that it is the responsibility of all leaders to model life-long learning in our own lives, continuously growing in our leadership effectiveness and as disciples of Christ.  The ALLC exists to provide a variety of opportunities for leaders to continue to develop their character, leadership competencies and Christ-likeness in ways that are accessible, affordable, and directly relevant to each person’s needs.

“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”

Proverbs 1:5

Community:

We believe that by joining together in unity with God and the rest of the body of Christ that anything is possible, including completing the Great Commission.  The ALLC seeks to develop a community of learning leaders by providing opportunities for upcoming and existing leaders to collaborate and engage with circles of leaders who have both common and complementary interests, passions, goals, giftings, perspectives, experience and cultural diversity.

“From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Ephesians 4:16

Service:

We believe that as Christ came to sacrifice himself and serve others, that leaders should do the same.  The ALLC seeks to provide opportunities for transformational leaders to serve others through mentoring, coaching, and the sharing of their leadership knowledge, experience and resources.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

1 Peter 4:10

Thriving:

We believe that God desires for every person, ministry and community to thrive, flourish, and be all that He created us to uniquely be.   To truly flourish requires that we know who we are, and that we allow both God and others to speak into our lives in ways that allow us to be refined, grow, mature, and experience balanced health of mind, body, spirit, emotions, and relationships.  The ALLC helps leaders thrive by providing opportunities for personal leadership assessment, connecting leaders into coaching/mentoring relationship within like-minded circles, and providing access to leadership development training and resources.

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.  They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.  Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.  Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Multiplication:

We believe that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  God has called all believers to be a part of growing and expanding the Kingdom of God.  To do so requires raising up and empowering future generations of healthy and effective Christian leaders throughout Asia and the rest of the world.  The ALLC strives to promote leadership resources, connections and learning events to help leaders develop and multiply themselves, their ministries, other leaders, and the Kingdom of God.

“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”

2 Timothy 2:2
